Principles of Development
YT is free and libre open source software, and will not require
non-free and libre open source software to run.
YT will not have any official secret branches or features: all
contributed features will be shared with the entire YT userbase
after they have been tested.
If you do research or publish papers using YT, we offer public
hosting space for your scripts and additions to the codebase.
We are committed to open science: that methods, data, and
analysis scripts should be made public at publication time.
Using YT does not bind you to these ideals. You are free to
make all the personal, secret additions you want in private
repositories located deep within mountain bunkers.
